WANDRVEL™ is an independent travel company specialising in providing itineraries in London and around the globe.
Our itineraries are focused on travelling around a working/ busy life, from weekend trips to 3 week adventures, there's something for everybody at WANDRVEL™.
Founded in 2017 by sustainability consultant and avid traveller, Jessica S, who begun making itineraries for her activity packed trips around her busy work schedule, WANDRVEL™ aims to provide itineraries that allow you to fully immerse yourself in a new country or city in whatever time you may have.
WANDRVEL also started out as a platform dedicated to women. Whilst the audience is wider now, there is still a focus on women, particularly BIPOC women, as Jessica is herself.
"We can't deny the privilege that males (particularly white males) have to travel the world with no worries of safety or racism. One of my favourite movies is 'Into the Wild' but gosh what privilege he has to roam the earth freely, day or night. My itineraries aren't necessarily going to change the bias, but I hope that women will be inspired by the trips that I'm taking and empowered to do the same if they wish."
"I love travel planning almost as much as the trip itself, and I'm not bad at it so I wanted to set up this platform to share my trips with people, both past and planned."
Jessica also considers WANDRVEL to have a unique stance in modern travel culture.
"I grew up in the 90s and early 00s, before the age of the internet, so my wanderlust stems from books, art, cinema, music, geography (at school), science, culture, folk stories, learning from people you meet, and not simply an internet trend. That's not to say that internet trends aren't an important part of modern day travel, and I definitely use the internet and social media for inspiration nowadays, but I think my millennial upbringing adds a different flare. That, coupled with my background in geology and corporate life in sustainability where I'm constantly thinking about our wonderful planet and all of the systems and processes that make it so beautiful bring something different."
WANDRVEL has a variety of trips which compliment different parts of a person's personality, from city breaks in New York to cultural journeys through Mexico, or luxury all inclusive stays to budget motels or camping.
"We're multi-faceted beings; its impossible to think that we could be placed in a box when it comes to everyday life and travel is no exception. We can do it all, and no one should tell us that we're not suited to something or don't belong somewhere. This planet is for all of us, and we have the right to explore it without boundaries or prejudice."
